That is because the simple techniques that we instruct here are the very ones that 14 years of teaching adrenal stress driven, scenario based RMCAT classes prove to us that people can actually apply effectively under stress!.

DVD ONE: AWARENESS, AVOIDANCE & DE-Escalation of Conflict: 

This DVD instructs the most important skill there is in real world self-defense, and that is awareness and avoidance and de-escalation of potential conflict. It is the most important skill to have for sure, yet it is seldom, if ever even addressed, much less taught in martial arts classes. 

In this DVD you will actually see and hear real assailants, killers and knifers and gunmen discuss 'right out front' how and why they choose their victims. Every one of these people has spent hard time in prison for their crimes too. By understanding the predatory mind you have armed yourself mentally to deal with them effectively by not being chosen as a potential victim in the first place. You will thus see very clearly the iron clad logic of the four rules of dealing with the potential assailants interview.

DVD TWO: Striking Techniques: Once again we choose these gross motor skills because they are the ones that we have taught at RMCAT for many years and then observed the attendants applying  them succesfully in full contact, adrenal stress driven, totally unpredictable scenarios against the armored assailants. 

For real world self-defense you do not need many striking techniques, but you must have a few that you can deliver under stress with total power and devastation. Let your enemy flail ineffectively while you deliver that one shot that incapacitates him enough that you can deliver a second and third and finish the fight right there! 

The secrets of real striking power are simple, but again only a small and incomplete portion of these methods are ever really taught or explained in martial arts classes. As a bouncer in the old days I used only 3 and sometimes 4 striking techniques and that was all I ever needed too! Complex martial arts striking techniques are very seldom  effective for a real fight in the real world.

DVD THREE: Escapes from holds, Fighting From The Ground & Chaining Your Striking Techniques: This is reality based, in the street instruction and not sport or submission grappling. 

It is true that ground fighting is most MA people's weakest area, but let me tell you from experience, the street fighter or other predator is often even less capable on the ground. Here we show you clearly how to escape from the "concrete sandwich", the pummeling by a guy on top of you when you are on your back or on your stomach, escaping chokes, and escaping some bozo moves like the front or rear bear hug. These attacks are truly bozo moves but as a bouncer I saw them work for the assailant most of the time! The objective is to escape and incapacitate your assailant at the same time.
